1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION

1.1 INTRODUCTION

Value SMS” Service is a tailored SMS solution (short Message Service) especially meant for corporate customers, Governmental organizations, Multinational companies, SMEs and Content Providers that are interested in sending and receiving a big amount of SMS messages to/from a large number of their customers in an easy and convenient manner.

Short Message Service (SMS) in general is a cost effective way of transmitting alphanumeric messages between mobile subscribers and external systems and applications. The service makes use of SMSC, which acts as a store-and-forward system for short messages. SMS supports several input mechanisms that allow interconnection with different message sources and destinations. Message maximum size is (70) characters in Arabic and (160) characters in English.

1.2 TYPE OF SERVICES

1.2.1 BULK SMS PUSH SERVICE

This service is dedicated to companies that need to send a significant number of SMS messages per month. Bulk SMS messages are “pushed” to targeted users by the company servers through GSM Network.

1.2.2 PREMIUM SMS PULL SERVICE

Allows companies to receive SMS requests (premium priced SMS messages) from UAE mobile customers to various short codes (4 digits) allocated to the company. This service can be on revenue sharing basis.

2 SALES GUIDELINES
2.1 BENEFITS		SMS messages can be sent at once to a large group. SMS information and alerts can be sent to end customers at specified times or when specified events are taking place. Subscribers can request information when they want/need it the most. Customers can send also Promotional & Special Offer messages to their customers. Customers can use the service to send logos, ring tones, games and other types of content and applications to mobile subscribers.
2.2 FEATURES		Content and/or service providers are provided with an account linked to it one or a number of four digits Short codes as per the customer's request. Each short code can be rated to recieve incoming messages at normal rates (0.18) Fils or at premium rates (above (0.18) Fils,Multiple of (30) Fils or Multiple of (1) Dirhams. Content and/or Service provider gets a connection between its host computer/server and Etislat's SMS Centre for sending and recieving SMS messages to/from mobile customers.

4 BUSINESS POLICY

4.2 DOCUMENTATION		Following Documents should be provided for getting the Service: a. Valid Trade License b. Passport Copy of the applicant c. Power of Attorney d. Copy of Tenancy Agreement e. Approval Letter from Ministry of Information f. Official letter explaining why the service is needed Following documents should be provided incase of Revenue Sharing Agreements with : a.Name and address of the Customer with contact person. b.Copy of the Trade License c.Copy of Chamber of Commerce Certificate d.Copy of Approval from Ministry of Information e.Copy of legal documents of the entity, such as Partnership Deed, Memorandum of Association, etc. f.Power of Attorney of the authorised signatory to the Agreement g.Copy of passport of the authorised signatory
4.3 SUBSCRIPTION/PROCEDURE		To subscribe to the service, the customer needs to visit the Business Center within his region and fill an “application form”. One month, as per standard policy of subscription
4.4 CESSATION		1. Go to the region - commercial section/sales teams 2. Apply for cessation and submit the necessary documents 3. Pay all the charges Note: Termination and Disconnection of Service – reserves the right to discontinue the service and to terminate the contract with the Content Provider immediately, if the Content Provider 1. delay the payment of the service charges, 2. or breached any of the terms and conditions of the service and fail to remedy such breach within (7) days from a notice served by to that effect.

5.3.1 BILLING

Billings is available for both, for messages sent as well as received Subscription charges will be billed to GSM customers.
